Strawberries

Seriously ... how can you not like strawberries?

Mmmm ... Springridge Farm strawberries...

Pretty good job here of holding onto the berry and not eating it. And no, I did not take it out of her mouth and eat it after. She swallowed it whole.

This one is for Mel!

Photo shoot with the little dog

Is she adorable or what!? What a good sport - well, she was this time anyway because I wasn't using a flash.

Yes, she's wearing a bow, but she is a girl no matter what she says. And yes, it's a Dove Spa bow, and no, she does not go to get her nails done.

This is my favorite shot out of this session. It just screams her personality of "I'm better and smarter than you".

Love the effect I got on this, looks more like an old-time black and white shot. She looks good in grey-scale.

It's the clear bone. The coveted clear bone. Not as good as the ball, but a first choice over any other Nyla.

Mmmm, clear bone.

She doesn't chew this bone. She gums it. And makes out with it. A weird fetish? I have no idea.

Her best "longing" look.

Waiting for the ok to pounce on the clear bone.

So who likes slightly staggered pictures in blog posts? Not me, but that's what I get for screwing around with the HTML or what ever the hell code is involved. Let's just pretend I'm trying to be artistic about photo placement, yeah that's it, add some interest to the post. Bah!

Christmas Images

Sights of Christmas day. From snow to rain, from Milton to Fonthill.

Brandy and Mack both picked their presents out from under the tree by themselves. I have no idea how they knew which was which. I didn't even address them, so it's not like they could read their names on any tags.
Brandy delicately opens hers.

Mack destroys his, and goes right for the kill.

Well, at least it started off white ... poured rain for the rest of the day though.

It's a shame that Christmas is over so quickly. the day just goes by too fast.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful day and that it was everything they hoped it would be.

Printer Trials and Errors

The super fantastic Epson R1900 arrived at my house on Monday, about 2 hours after my post. It's huge! I'm not sure what I was expecting in the size department, but the thing is enormous. This makes me very happy about my Ikea desk addition purchase that was bought and assembled on Sunday, making my desk about 3/4's of the size of my office.

So, I am now in the testing phase. This printer is much more complicated than your average desktop unit, housing 8 individual ink cartridges, including a gloss optimizer for stunning output. I'm slowly learning what this beast can do, and so far, am extremely happy when I the pieces fall together. The prints are full of rich colour, fantastic detail and the single piece of art that I printed last night (after a half hour of trying to figure out settings) looks perfect!

The Dingle Ball

This ball, like any other ball, is a highly useful Jack Russell attractant. This ball, however, has a little dingle bell inside, which makes it's value skyrocket about 20 times that of a normal, non-verbal ball. This ball originally belonged to someone else, but was so highly coveted by my little dog, that it was gifted to her one Christmas. This ball, or any ball for that matter, holds the key to happiness in her mind.
